Existing standards and standardization landscape
Standards are voluntary technical documents that set out requirements for a specific item, material, component, system or service, or describes in detail a particular method, procedure or best practice. Standards are developed and defined through a process of sharing knowledge and building consensus among technical experts nominated by interested parties and other stakeholders – including businesses, consumers and environmental groups, among others. The standardization bodies operate at National, Regional or International level.
With the present report, the BRESAER projects wants to facilitate the acceptance and utilisation of its solutions by the market. The analysis of standardisation rules and protocols have provided vauluable information for the implementation of the BRESAER technologies, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with what already exists in the market through standards and regulations.
